Daily schedule
Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both group activities and independent child choice activities.
Hello and Drop Off:
08:00 to 8:30 a.m.
Standard drop off time is 8am but special considerations for earlier drop off can be arranged. Speak to our staff.
Morning circle:
8:30 a.m.
Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day. Activities at morning meeting include children’s jobs, calendar (days/months), weather, introduction of new letters and numbers of the week and introduce the day’s activities.
Child choice time:
9:00 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.
A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.
Clean up time:
9:25 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
All children work together to clean up our class room.
Snack time:
10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Our school has a peanut free policy. Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. Snacks include fresh fruit prepared daily, yoghurt, wafers and milk drinks. Water is provided with all snacks.
Story time:
11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
The teacher reads a story to the class relative to the current curriculum.
Quiet time:
11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
A short rest time at snack tables while listening to quiet music or reading books.
Goodbye:
12:30 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.
For Morning children, they will gather personal items, receive handouts, and wait at the front door for dismissal.
Afternoon circle :
12:30 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.
Meeting time is an opportunity for the whole class to get together in one area. Activities at this meeting include show and tell, music and movement, class discussions and group games. Most importantly this is a time for children to share information with others, practice listening and waiting skills, and participate in a large group.
Physical and creative activity:
12:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Children participate in active play activities as well as optional reading, writing, guided play areas and art projects.

3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Children gather personal items, receive handouts, and wait at the front door for dismissal.

4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

4:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.

6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
